Painting my ass off…:)

We are officially home:) yyyaaa! I couldn’t be more excited. When i look from any window on the main floor i can see the water…… we really do own a little piece of heaven. Heaven however needed a heck of a lot of painting. The previous owners had very different taste than myself. All the cabinets were dark, walls different (not so complimentary colours), and the whole house was lacking in some serious character. Ry and i have already thrown ourselves into reno mode. I painted the walls, trim and the dark cherry wood cabinets-all white. Ry then lined the ceiling with wood planks and added some much needed character with some crown moulding though out the dinning, kitchen and living room. ……i then did some more painting it all white:) NO WORRIES, there will be TONS of colour in the decor items!!! Here are just a few pics amongst the reno:

Well I’ve been living in the city of Toronto for the last 13 years. Wow…..can’t believe it….i think that officially makes me a touch older:) To all of those people who have made me laugh while drinking too much wine, i just wanted to say thanks and i hope we all keep in touch:)

Ry, Reid and I are moving on to what hopefully (after a massive amount of renos) will be our forever dream home. I can’t begin to tell you how amazing it feels. Don’t worry….tons of reno pics to come!!! yyaaaaa. BUT, for now, here are some pics of the living room renos we did in our Toronto home.

A few tears fell as i drove away today. Some very beautiful memories were created in that house. It was the first house i ever called a home after leaving my parents so many years ago………

The new house

The countdown is on 88 days till we move!!! Might seem like a lot to some, but since Ry and i are still reno-ing the current house…… we have a ton of work to do!!! We just ripped out the last powder room today (before and after’s to come in the next week)!!!

I just thought i would share a pic on the cute new home. Yes….another fixer-upper….but at least this one could possibly be our home forever:)

This is the beginning of a new chapter for myself and my cute little family. Ry, Reid and I are moving out of the big city, and heading to the country to start a brand new business and a renewed love of life:) We just purchased a “fixer-upper” on the Muskoka river and will officially be country folk as of October 31st of this year!!! I can’t contain my excitement, i’m smiling from ear to ear as a write this!

This little blog will document my new floral design studio, home renos and events in my life. I hope all of you follow along!!!
